Sunset with two new instruments on the site

Although we had the customs inspection today in the morning rather than yesterday, all pieces of the puzzle fitted together today and the site now has two new instruments on it.

We are tired, but happy as everything seems to have arrived in perfect shape.

We are soon heading for the “Just Grilling” to have the “Catch of the Day”.

The DIAL and the MPI Radar will be powered up tomorrow when the “error rate” is hopefully lower as it would be now.

The container are free from customs and will be delivered today!!

"The" Day

Today is customs inspection, if everything goes as planned. Keep fingers crossed, if they are still flexible…

Yesterday I mounted a new camera at RaggedPoint Tower, but this new version has some strange features. The stored pictures do not have image restitution, the live pictures have.

I think to replace this unit with another one, if there is the time.

Although from our experience during the first deployment the “mobile fence solution” didn’t seem to have a good chance, we gave it another try.

To our surprise the answer of one company was ” do you want it today?”. They really delivered yesterday and that is the result as of today:

We are still waiting for two more panels to close the fence

and then the KIT radar will be online again, pointing vertically.

Today the suitcase with spare parts was released out of customs so hopefully the Ragged Point cam will be online again soon.

Tomorrow we hope to have the customs inspection for the containers, so that we can deploy them on Saturday.

Keep you fingers crossed!!

Apart from that the containers and every thing else is getting its rust protection.

As you can see we are still in good mood, although a bit sunburned!
