Status 2010 07 29
Systems at the site:
- Lidar: data aquisition was off due to some power problems at the site …restarted the computers inside the lidar and measurements continue from 07:00
- Cloudradar: stopped measurements at around 05:oo, restarted the transmitter and the data client around 8:00 UTC, no scanning up to now …
- Ceilometer: running
- MRR: running
- Raingauge: running
Since 11:30 UTC the Cloudradar is running AND scanning again… The scanning device needs to have a zero marker to start again after power problems….
Is the radar down due to power problems as well, or something else?
I think it was only a small power drop that causes the radar to stop. I just restarted (hopefully, my first time…) the radar. Lets wait if it will work again…
Inside the lidar the laser was up, only the data aquisition and other computers did a reboot.

the radar seems to work, but can you see if its scanning the way you want it??
Very impressive quicklooks to my mind…
Yeah that is one nice big cloud passing over. But I think the strategy is not working as it is supposed to, I think it is just scanning vertical. I do see some discontinuities in the data though, but am not sure what has changed there. Let’s wait for a few more quicklooks to make sure…
No idea, why the radar is not scanning. The commands are working, but no movements of the unit. I send Matthias from Metek an email to have a look at that….
