By chance I captured a photo of a radiosonde launch…


The quick-look lidar product (“today”) looks very unusual. It is not the product that I normally see and it looks unprocessed.
Also, I note the comment about catching the sonde launch in the photo. Are you folks doing routine sondes at Deebles Point?

Dear Joe, we will have a look at the lidar data from 2 days ago, I have not seen those yet.
We are not doing balloons routinely, just during the few weeks we are here, to compare with the Raman water vapor, and to have an idea of the atmospheric structure when ACTOS flies.
